1) from the motorway A4 (distance approx. 7.5 km, journey time approx. 20 min):

• A4/exit Dresden-Hellerau (please note: in older maps still DD-Nord)
• follow the signs for Zentrum for approx. 1 km until you will reach the “Aral“ petrol station (on the right side of the road)
• at the crossroads where traffic is regulated by traffic lights turn left (into Stauffenbergallee) in the direction of Pillnitz
• from there follow the signposts for Pillnitz / Bischofswerda / B6
• follow Stauffenbergallee until the road ends after approx. 3.5 km
• cross the crossroads there and keep on driving straight ahead (half-right) into Waldschlößchenstraße
• follow this road for approx. 300m down the hill until you will reach the B6 / Bautzner Straße (view of the river Elbe)
• there, turn left into the B6 / Bautzner Straße, after approx. 1.5 km you will reach Castle Albrechtsberg on the right side of the road (car park in front of the castle’s gate)

 

2) from the motorway A13:

• at junction Dresden follow the A4 in the direction of Dresden (Chemnitz), until exit DD-Hellerau
• continue as described above under 1)

 

3) from the airport Dresden (distance approx. 7.5 km, journey time approx. 20 min):

• exit the airport area following the signs for Zentrum / B97
• follow Karl-Marx-Straße for approx. 1.5 km until you will reach the B97 / Königsbrücker Landstraße
• there, turn right and keep on following the signposts for Zentrum for approx. 3.5 km until tram rails will cross the road
• directly after that, turn left (into Stauffenbergallee) at the crossroads where traffic is regulated by traffic lights in the direction of Pillnitz / Bischofswerda / B6
• from there, keep on following the signs for Pillnitz / Bischofswerda / B6
• follow Stauffenbergallee until the road ends after approx. 1.5 km
• cross the crossroads there and keep on driving straight ahead (half-right) into Waldschlößchenstraße
• follow this road for approx. 300m down the hill until you will reach the B6 / Bautzner Straße (view of the river Elbe)
• there, turn left into the B6 / Bautzner Straße, after approx. 1.5 km you will reach Castle Albrechtsberg on the right side of the road (car park in front of the castle’s gate)

1) from Dresden airport:

• take the suburban train (S-Bahn) to station Dresden-Neustadt (journey time approx. 10 min) - there, change to tram no. 11 in the direction of Bühlau (the tram departs from the station square)
• get off the tram at the stop ”Elbschlösser“ (journey time approx. 15 min)

 

2) from the station Dresden-Neustadt:

• take tram no. 11 from the station square in the direction of Bühlau
• get off the tram at the stop ”Elbschlösser“ (journey time approx. 15 min)

 

3) from main station Dresden:

• take tram no. 11 from the station square (stop “Hauptbahnhof Nord“) in the direction of Bühlau
• get off the tram at the stop ”Elbschlösser“ (journey time approx. 30 min)
